Role: Technical Program Manager Telecom / Fiber Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid Wed/Thu onsite)
Duration: 6-month contract

About the Role

Join Google Fiber s Construction Operations team as a Technical Program Manager, where you ll lead large-scale telecom infrastructure programs. You ll drive execution across engineering, vendors, and operations while ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.

What You ll Do

Own end-to-end program execution (scope, timelines, risks, dependencies)
Manage fiber construction programs, ensuring compliance with standards and contracts
Drive vendor performance, budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning
Lead technical issue resolution and escalations
Build strong cross-functional stakeholder alignment
Develop and execute communication & change management plans
Track program metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives

What You Bring

2+ years in program/project management (technical, infrastructure, or telecom)
Experience in FTTx, FTTH, OSP, or fiber network deployments
Strong vendor management, budgeting, and scheduling experience
Ability to manage multiple complex programs simultaneously
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

Experience with GIS systems and telecom tools
Background in process improvement / operational optimization
Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
