ABOUT THE ROLE
Client  rapidly evolving its technology stack to support a multi-platform environment involving Salesforce, NetSuite, ION Carbon Zero, and a modern Data Warehouse. We have identified a critical need for a high-level Master Data Management (MDM) Architect to ensure our technical approach to data is correct, scalable, and resilient. In this fractional role (targeting ~10-20 hours/week), you will act as a strategic advisor and architect, designing the "golden source of truth" for our counterparties, products, and contacts. You will work in parallel with our Receipts Automation discovery phase to align our ERP platform integrations with our new trading platform, ensuring data governance, lineage, and access controls meet enterprise standards.

WHAT YOU''LL DO
? Architectural Oversight: Review and validate the MDM strategy to ensure correct cross-system alignment between Salesforce, NetSuite, IntelAgree, and Carbon Zero.
? Data Governance Design: Define policies for data ownership, lineage, and access controls to maintain data integrity across the ecosystem.
? Entity Mapping: Lead the mapping of complex counterparty and product data entities to ensure seamless "straight-through processing" (STP).
? Technical Discovery: Partner with US-based technical leads during the 2-week Discovery engagement to identify technical debt and architectural risks in current data flows.
? Integration Strategy: Design resilient integration patterns for Middleware (Azure Logic Apps/Functions) to handle master data synchronization without redundancy.

ABOUT YOU
You are a seasoned Data Architect with a specialization in MDM for enterprise-level organizations. You have a proven track record of managing data across diverse ERP and CRM systems and can speak both "business" and "engineering" fluently. You are comfortable in a fractional, strategic capacity, providing high-impact guidance without needing full-time oversight.
? 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture or MDM Strategy.
? Deep expertise in NetSuite (ERP) and Salesforce (CRM) data structures and integration patterns.
? Proven experience designing data governance frameworks for financial or commodity trading environments.
? Advanced English communication skills (C1+), capable of leading strategic discussions with US-based executive leadership (CTO, CPTO).
? Ability to work effectively in a fractional capacity while remaining highly responsive during designated US PT hours.
? Familiarity with Azure-based data architectures and modern integration middleware.

HOW WE DEFINE SUCCESS

Within the first 30 days:
? Gain a firm grasp of the Company''s business priorities, current ERP/CRM data gaps, and the strategic objectives for the new trading platform.
? Build strong cross-functional relationships with US-based technical leadership and key stakeholders across Trading and Operations.
? Conduct a comprehensive audit of the current multi-platform data flow and identify the top architectural risks to data integrity.

Within the first 90 days:
? Hone the MDM strategy based on Discovery findings and deliver a finalized MDM Technical Architecture Document and Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD).
? Provide actionable advisory on "out-of-the-box" vs. "custom-built" MDM solutions through a thorough SWOT analysis.
? Establish clear data governance policies and integration patterns for the Middleware layer to ensure consistent data synchronization.

Within the first 6 months:
? Contribute independently as a strategic advisor, overseeing the implementation of the primary Salesforce-to-NetSuite counterparty synchronization.
? Develop a long-term strategic plan for data lineage and access controls that aligns with the evolution toward modern Data Fabric solutions.
? Successfully help the team meet goals for "Golden Source" reliability, ensuring 0% data duplication in core entities.

Within 1 year:
? Demonstrate success through the established, resilient MDM system that fully supports our customer-facing technology and automated trading operations.
? Achieve enterprise-grade data governance standards across all five core platforms, validated by zero critical data-integrity failures.
? Provide a clear roadmap for the evolution of the MDM framework to incorporate increasing volumes of unstructured data and RAG-based AI strategies.
