Job Description
You will be the Field Service Technician (FST) for the HIMARS Support Team. Our team guarantees that the HIMARS family of medium tactical vehicles (launchers, RSVs, wreckers, trailers, and material handling equipment) operate flawlessly for the Taiwanese Army, from initial assembly through sustainment.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Field Service Technician you will be the primary point of contact for the Taiwan HIMARS Battalion's launcher operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting. You'll work side by side with Taiwanese military personnel and U.S. contractors, delivering hands on support, training, and technical expertise throughout a two year, unaccompanied overseas assignment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Diagnose, repair, and calibrate HIMARS launchers, RSVs, wreckers, trailers, and associated equipment in the field and at sustainment levels.
Conduct operator and maintainer re training using existing curricula; develop on the spot training as gaps arise.
Serve as the liaison between U.S. contractors, Taiwanese military crews, and program management to coordinate maintenance, parts, and test equipment.
Perform system, tool, and test equipment utilization audits to ensure compliance with established procedures and safety standards.
Document all technical actions, generate after action reports, and provide recommendations for product enhancements or corrective actions.
Travel to Grand Prairie, TX for a 90 to 120 day training period before deployment, then relocate to Taiwan for the full assignment.
Obtain and maintain an interim Secret clearance, a valid passport, and necessary medical/physical clearances; provide proof of highest education level for visa processing.

The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications
-Must be willing to deploy for 2 years
-Must be capable of passing a deployable physical examination (including - ability to lift 35 pounds) for deployments to a combat or hazardous duty location
-Must possess a detailed understanding of the MLRS M270A1 or HIMARS system to include: Fault isolation, diagnostics, and repair of MLRS M270A1/HIMARS electrical, hydraulic/mechanical systems experience.
-Must possess a detailed understanding of the FMTV: Fault isolation, diagnostics, and repair of electrical, hydraulic/mechanical systems experience
-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Previous Military MOS 91B
-Good computer skills to include Microsoft Office products and internet navigation capabilities
-Must be able to establish and maintain a good working relationship with the customer
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 55 lb., work in confined spaces, and operate at heights as required by launcher maintenance.

Logistics & Supply Chain Management - Proven ability to coordinate requisition, receipt, and inventory control of spare parts, repair kits, and test equipment; adept at managing export/import processes for critical support items supporting forward-deployed units and allied partners.
Export/Import Compliance - Experience serving as the primary point of contact for the movement of high-priority items across international boundaries, ensuring adherence to regulatory and security requirements.
Liaison & Stakeholder Communication - Skilled at organizing and delivering briefings to senior unit command and front-line personnel, fostering clear communication and alignment across all levels of the organization.
Technical Training & Instruction - Ability to conduct concise, "hip-pocket" training sessions on HIMARS systems (or similar equipment), tailoring instruction to the audience's expertise and operational needs.
Interagency & Allied Partner Coordination - Demonstrated success partnering with allied forces and external agencies to support joint operations and sustainment efforts.
Problem Solving & Decision Support - Quick to assess logistical challenges and provide actionable solutions that maintain mission readiness and equipment availability.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $60,600 - $106,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
