Summary

Description
Provide dedicated support to all projects from conception to completion (and during early
planning/feasibility phases before approval)
? Work closely with various members of organization
and others on project teams to develop and maintain scope documents, cost estimates, detailed
planning and execution documents, budgets, cost tracking, schedules, progress summaries, and
close-out documentation.
? Ensure that all communications needs are addressed by working with Delivery and other groups as needed.
? Submit requests for TO resources to be assigned to each project.
? Conduct kickoff meetings, planning meetings, regularly scheduled update meetings, periodic
presentations to business partners, etc.
? Coordinate activities of all assigned resources to ensure adherence to all deadlines and milestones
throughout each project.
? Review internal and external documents for adherence to company and industry standards.
? Attend calls and meetings to give updates and to stay abreast of new developments in the
overall project.
? Planning, requesting quotes, coordinating activities of contractors; managing purchase orders and
tracking costs (may require activities in Maximo and Oracle ERP)
? Facilitate final project close
Knowledge & Skills:

? Technical
? Extensive technical skills related to data, voice, telecommunications, and networking
technologies; knowledge of BICSI standards is helpful.
? Knowledge of plant Operational Technologies such as Distributed Control Systems, revenue
metering, switchgear protection, vibration monitoring, physical security systems (cameras, card
readers), etc.
? Proficient understanding of sound Cyber Security principles for assisting in the design,
engineering, and construction of telecom and network systems (CIP certification considered
advantageous)
? Proficient understanding of end-user technologies and their associated support processes (PCs,
printers, core software, vendor connectivity, wireless systems, etc.)
? Working knowledge of accounting processes and procedures (Enterprise Foundations tools)
? Non-technical
? Leadership skills - Ability to effectively accomplish work by working with others.
? Organizational skills - Must be highly organized individually and possess the ability to organize,
prioritize, schedule, and manage work in a way that others can be successful in completing their
portions of the work.
? Communication skills - Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees,
management, vendors, and other internal and/or external groups. Must possess excellent
written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
? Documentation skills - Ability to appropriately follow documentation processes which includes
documenting the design of 'last mile solutions' with AutoCAD, Visio, or PowerPoint by following
standard documentation practices. Familiarity with documentation systems such as
Documentum, Bridge, PDMS, etc. is a plus.
? Customer Service skills - Ability to identify and meet the needs of customers (Internal business
partners) in a way the customer feels positively about their experience.
? Student of the Business
? A demonstrated desire and ability to learn and apply new information.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
? This job requires the ability to drive long distances, travel overnight, work shifts greater than 8
hours, climb stairs and ladders and work in areas requiring specific safety measures such as radio
transmission sites, fiber optic transmission sites, power plants, substations, heavy construction sites
as well as various remote locations.
? This job will primarily focus on Generation projects in Georgia but may also support projects in
Alabama and Mississippi.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience:
? A bachelor's degree in Electronics / Telecommunications / Computer Science or related field is
preferred or two-year associate degree in electronics technology or significant experience in IT
Telecommunications / Data Networking.
? PMP or other project management training and certifications are recommended.
? Other technical certifications are considered an advantage.
? 3-5 years of experience in telecommunications or related fields
? Experience in a project management role (whether official or unofficial) is highly desired.
? Plant and/or construction experience is also highly desired.
? Experience must include an exemplary safety record and attention to wellness.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
