JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

The Sr. IT Consultant will represent the Operational Governance & Execution group within IT's Operational Excellence department, which provides multiple services across key ITIL disciplines including Configuration Management (CMDB), Change Management, and Vulnerability Management. The role focuses on CMDB governance and data integrity, ensuring our applications are accurately represented within the CMDB, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and customer engagement.

This individual performing this role will be expected to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation to streamline operational workflows, strengthen data quality, and drive continuous improvement across all governed processes.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Governance
    • Integrate AI-driven analytics to monitor process adherence, detect deviations, and identify improvement opportunities across our scope of operations.
    • Support regulatory and audit processes in scope for ITOGE.
    • Enforce and enhance IT device lifecycle management, ensuring accurate CI data from asset acquisition & deployment, all the way through to decommissioning.

Configuration Management (CMDB)
    • Leverage AI and automation to improve CI discovery, attribute accuracy, relationship mapping, and predictive data quality insights.
    • Engage with application, infrastructure, security and other stakeholders to identify and address concerns around CMDB data quality and usability.
    • Oversee effectiveness of CMDB ingest tools and processes, e.g., IRE, discovery, service graph connectors, import sets, etc., ensuring devices are discovered timely and desired attributes are accurately captured.

Vulnerability Management
    • Pursue AI technologies to assist with rapid remediation of the most critical vulnerabilities.
    • Work with TVM SMEs to identify attributes needed for VIT assignment and resolution.
    • Capture specific data required by the program, e.g., java usage, application dependencies, etc., to incorporate them into the CMDB.

Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to optimize and automate processes to reduce manual effort and improve outcomes.
    • Maintain relationships with the extended team to maintain cross-functional alignment and drive improvements throughout the ITIL processes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education and experience required of the position:

Required
    • Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 5+ years of experience in IT Service Management, operations, or governance.
    • Strong working knowledge of ITIL frameworks.
    • Experience with CMDB, Change, or Vulnerability processes.
    • Working knowledge of AI approaches and technologies

Preferred
    • ITIL Foundation or Managing Professional.
    • ServiceNow expertise (CMDB, Change, Vulnerability, Discovery).
    • Experience in regulated, complex, or enterprise environments.
    • Familiarity with patching tools, scanners, and monitoring platforms.
    • AI certifications

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position
    • Any ServiceNow, Certified Agile Product Owner, or ITIL certifications are a plus.
