Role Overview
Our organization is actively seeking a Reliability, Maintainability, & System Health (RM&SH) Engineer for a key program. In this role, you will use your expertise to support the design, manufacture, test, and sustainment of state-of-the-art technology. You will join a team of engineers and analysts contributing to significant advancements in the aerospace industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer requirements and develop a reliability engineering program to achieve objectives.
- Allocate top-level reliability requirements to design teams and perform predictions to track performance.
- Perform failure mode and effect analysis and formulate mathematical models to identify and mitigate risks.
- Develop, administer, and maintain a Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) database.
- Participate in Failure Review Board (FRB) meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as an active participant on design teams, providing guidance to ensure reliability objectives are met.
- Interface with customers and management at major design reviews to provide reliability findings.
- Determine test profiles for units requiring environmental testing and define success criteria.
- Support proposal activities that impact the Reliability and Maintainability scope of work.
- Provide technical support to various programs.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or an equivalent qualification is required.
Experience: This Level 4 position typically requires 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
Technical Skills:- Experience with RM&SH engineering principles, including requirements, predictions, and performance.
- Experience with Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action Systems (FRACAS).
- Experience performing failure analysis.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using the Systems Engineering V-model to implement a system onto a product.
- System engineering requirements and verification experience.
- Ability to lead by influence outside of formal reporting relationships.
- 2+ years of Reliability, Maintainability, and System Health experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Reliability & Maintainability Predictions, or Reliability Testing activities.
- A Master's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or related disciplines.
