Role: AS400/RPG Programmer Analyst

St North Bergen, NJ

ONSITE FOR TRAINING, BUT MAINLY REMOTE AFTERWARDS (THEY WANT SOMEBODY IN THE TRI-STATE AREA WHO CAN GO IN AS NEEDED)

Ongoing Contract to Hire

Key details:

• 40-hour work week with some flexibility needed to support West Coast operations and occasional after-hours issues.

• Primarily remote, with onsite presence required as needed for meetings, reviews, and critical issues. (Tri-state area ideal)
• Required: IBM i/AS400, RPG, Embedded SQL, EDI experience, strong troubleshooting skills, ability to work independently, and prior 3PL/warehousing experience.
• Candidates should have a solid understanding of warehouse and distribution operations, including order processing, inventory movement, shipping workflows, and supporting integrations between customers, carriers, and internal systems. Experience working in a 3PL environment is considered essential.
• Environment includes EDI transactions/integrations, UPS, FedEx, and Microsoft BizTalk. They are looking for someone who understands how these technologies support day-to-day logistics operations and can effectively communicate with both IT and operational stakeholders.
