Description: SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Consultant (Payroll Integration & Testing)About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) Consultant to support a large-scale Time & Pay transformation program. This role will be responsible for Employee Central environment support, payroll integration validation, testing cycle execution, defect analysis, and impact assessments across HR, Payroll, and IT systems.
The consultant will play a critical role in supporting System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Payroll Parallel Testing activities while ensuring data integrity between SuccessFactors Employee Central, Payroll, and downstream systems.
This position requires strong collaboration with HRIS, Payroll, IT Operations, and business stakeholders to assess system impacts, troubleshoot issues, and support governance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate would be local to Pomona, CA or willing to travel there frequently.
ResponsibilitiesEmployee Central Support- Support setup, provisioning, and readiness of SuccessFactors Employee Central environments for SIT, UAT, and Payroll Parallel Testing cycles.
- Perform employee data validation and reconciliation activities.
- Validate Organizational Management (OM) and Personnel Administration (PA) data structures and mappings.
- Review and analyze Employee Central configuration changes and assess downstream impacts.
Payroll Integration & Data Validation- Validate Employee Central integrations with Payroll systems, including Employee Central Payroll (ECP), SAP Payroll, and related downstream applications.
- Support S/4HANA Mini-Master replication validation and troubleshooting activities.
- Investigate and resolve employee data discrepancies affecting payroll processing.
- Analyze payroll-impacting defects and provide technical recommendations for resolution.
Testing & Defect Management- Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Payroll Parallel Testing cycles.
- Perform defect analysis, root cause identification, and impact assessments.
- Coordinate issue resolution with HRIS, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders.
- Track and prioritize defects to support successful testing outcomes.
Governance & Impact Assessment- Participate in Technology Governance Board (TGB) reviews and assessments.
- Evaluate proposed Employee Central changes and determine impacts across Payroll, Time Management, Finance, and related systems.
- Document risks, dependencies, and recommended mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical guidance regarding Employee Central impacts to broader technology initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration- Serve as a liaison between HRIS, Payroll, IT Operations, and project teams.
- Support technical discussions related to Step Progression and Compensation processes integrated with Payroll.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and issue resolution plans to leadership and stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Certification.
- 5+ years of experience supporting SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
- Experience supporting Employee Central integrations with Payroll systems.
- Experience with SIT, UAT, and Payroll Parallel Testing cycles.
- Knowledge of Organizational Management (OM), Personnel Administration (PA), and SAP infotype structures.
- Experience performing data validation, reconciliation, and defect analysis.
- Strong understanding of HRIS processes and employee data management.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
- Experience integrating Employee Central with SAP Payroll or SAP HCM.
- Experience supporting S/4HANA HR Mini-Master replication.
- Experience conducting impact assessments for HR technology changes.
- Experience participating in governance boards, change review processes, or architecture reviews.
- Knowledge of compensation, step progression, and payroll-related business processes.
- Experience in utility, energy, or unionized workforce environments.
- Experience supporting large-scale HR transformation or ERP implementation programs.
