IT Project Manager with Healthcare and Insurance Background

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate internal technology initiatives across multiple teams. The role involves planning, execution, budgeting, stakeholder communication, and proactive follow-up on action items to ensure successful and timely project delivery.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of driving accountability across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables
• Develop detailed project plans and track progress
• Coordinate internal teams (development, QA, infrastructure, business, etc.)
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope

2. Cross-Team Delivery Management

• Manage dependencies across multiple internal teams
• Remove blockers and escalate risks when necessary
• Ensure alignment between business and technical stakeholders
• Facilitate regular status meetings and updates

3. Action Item & Follow-Up Management

• Track action items and ensure ownership and closure
• Drive accountability across teams
• Maintain risk, issue, and dependency logs

4. Budgeting & Cost Control

• Develop and manage project budgets
• Track actuals vs. planned spend
• Provide cost forecasts and variance analysis
• Optimize resource allocation

5. Stakeholder Communication

• Provide clear and concise reporting to leadership
• Prepare executive summaries and dashboards
• Manage expectations and scope changes

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management
• Experience managing cross-functional internal technology projects
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies
• Experience in budgeting and financial tracking
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certification
• Experience in enterprise IT environments
• Familiarity with project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, etc.)
• Technical background (software development lifecycle understanding)
