SAP S/4HANA FI/CO Functional Consultant

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior SAP S/4HANA FI/CO Functional Consultant to support the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) solutions. This role will serve as the functional subject matter expert for SAP S/4HANA Finance, partnering with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that support financial operations and enterprise transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA FI/CO, including Asset Accounting (FI-AA), General Ledger, and Controlling, along with experience leading functional design, business process analysis, system testing, and production deployments. Experience in manufacturing or automotive environments is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead business process analysis, requirements gathering, and functional solution design for SAP S/4HANA Finance initiatives.
• Configure and support SAP FI and CO modules, including General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, and related financial processes.
• Serve as the functional SME for FI-AA (Asset Accounting), including asset classes, depreciation areas, asset transactions, and country-specific localization requirements.
• Configure and support Leading and Non-Leading General Ledgers within SAP S/4HANA.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integrations between FI/CO, SD, MM, and other SAP modules.
• Participate in and lead functional testing activities, including System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Develop functional specifications and partner with technical teams to deliver enhancements, interfaces, and system improvements.
• Support deployment activities, issue resolution, post-production support, and continuous process improvement.
• Provide guidance on SAP Fiori applications and support adoption of modern SAP S/4HANA capabilities.
• Collaborate effectively with business users, developers, and project teams while maintaining strong documentation and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of SAP FI/CO functional consulting experience.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations or support.
• Strong experience with FI-AA (Asset Accounting), General Ledger, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Internal Orders.
• Experience configuring Leading and Non-Leading Ledgers.
• Strong understanding of integrations between FI/CO, SD, MM, and other SAP modules.
• Experience with business process analysis, functional design, configuration, testing, and production support.
• Experience leading Regression, SIT, and UAT testing activities.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CO-PA (Profitability Analysis) configuration and reporting.
• Experience with SAP Fiori applications.
• Exposure to SAP Joule.
• Experience in automotive or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of IT systems, integrations, and enterprise application architecture.

Salary/Rate: $70-$85/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
