Role Overview
We're seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support and enhance a large-scale network environment. This role involves hands-on engineering, security, project work, and architectural input.
Key Responsibilities Technical Expertise

• Manage LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and remote access technologies
• Work with major network operating systems and protocols (BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, EIGRP, VPN)
• Support and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances
• Use network monitoring/analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds)
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and fault diagnosis

Security

• Implement network security controls and policies
• Support vulnerability assessments and secure network systems (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)

Projects & Operations

• Lead network upgrades, migrations, and cutovers
• Manage configuration, change, and release processes
• Resolve complex escalated network incidents and perform root-cause analysis

Documentation & Architecture

• Maintain detailed network documentation
• Contribute to network architecture and translate business needs into technical solutions

Soft Skills

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Ability to manage projects and coordinate across technical teams
• Comfortable interacting with stakeholders and leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive hands-on networking experience

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of West Palm Beach, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
