Description:
Position: Systems Engineer

Location: Camden, NJ

Responsibilities

Translate customer-level radar requirements into detailed system and software specifications through functional and performance analysis.

Perform radar performance analysis, requirements allocation, interface definition, and algorithm development.

Develop high-fidelity models and simulations to evaluate radar system behavior and performance.

Conduct trade studies to support architecture, design, and implementation decisions.

Contribute as an individual contributor to system design, development, integration, and test activities.

Execute system verification and validation activities and support integration and test milestones.

Collaborate in an Agile engineering environment, participating in Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and cross-functional design reviews.

Partner with multidisciplinary teams across software, systems, hardware, and test engineering to deliver high-quality radar system solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM field.

5+ years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas:

Systems engineering

Algorithm development

Software or system analysis

Requirements development

Verification and validation (V&V)

Trade studies

Modeling and simulation

Integration and test

Proficiency in C++ or another object-oriented programming language.

Hands-on experience using MATLAB for analysis, modeling, simulation, and test automation.

Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for task automation and CI/CD workflows.

Experience working with engineering collaboration and lifecycle tools such as DOORS, Git, and Confluence (or similar).

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation and deliver concise technical presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in radar systems development, including algorithms, software implementation, data analysis, and modeling & simulation.

Background in systems analysis and design methodologies.

Familiarity with failure analysis and requirements traceability.

Experience supporting Agile or Scrum-based systems engineering processes.

Experience executing system verification, integration, and test activities across complex systems.
