Job Title : Teamcenter PLM Administrator/Developer Houston, TX - Onsite Role Job Description The Teamcenter PLM Administrator and Developer is responsible for the administration, configuration, customization, and ongoing support of the Siemens TeamcenterPLM platform. This role ensures the stability, performance, and integration of Teamcenter with enterprise systems such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP ERP, and CAD tools. The position supports engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams by enabling efficient product data management, workflow automation, and system integration. Key Responsibilities 1. System Administration - Administer and maintain the Siemens Teamcenter environment including servers, databases, and application configurations.
- Manage user accounts, roles, access controls, and security policies.
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and data integrity.
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and environment maintenance (Dev/Test/Prod).
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
2. Development & Customization - Develop and maintain customizations using ITK, SOA, BMIDE, and RAC customization.
- Configure data models, item types, attributes, and relationships.
- Implement workflow automation for ECN, ECR, and change management processes.
- Develop custom scripts, utilities, and extensions to support business requirements.
- Maintain code repositories and deployment processes.
3. Integration & Interfaces - Implement and support integrations between Siemens Teamcenter and enterprise systems such as:
- SAP S/4HANA
- SAP ERP
- CAD tools (NX, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Support middleware and integration frameworks such as T4S or PLMSI.
- Troubleshoot data synchronization issues between PLM and ERP systems.
4. Data & Configuration Management - Configure and maintain BOM structures, item master data, and revision rules.
- Support Engineering Change Management (ECN/MCN/ECR) processes.
- Manage dataset configurations and document management structures.
- Ensure proper version control and product configuration management.
5. Support & Troubleshooting - Provide Level 2 / Level 3 support for Teamcenter users.
- Investigate and resolve system defects, integration issues, and workflow errors.
- Work with infrastructure and database teams for system performance optimization.
6. Collaboration & Process Improvement - Work with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and IT teams to improve PLM processes.
- Participate in system design discussions and architecture planning.
- Recommend best practices for PLM governance and data standards.
Required Qualifications Education - Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
Experience - 5+ years of experience with Siemens Teamcenter administration and development.
- Experience supporting PLM implementations in manufacturing or engineering environments.
