Job Details
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-site operational support, including services for Cisco Secure Network Analytics (SNA) and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), along with general IT support.
- Coordinate and conduct regular status meetings with clients to review open tasks, service requests, and work progress.
- Provide design, operational, and administrative support services for Cisco ISE and Cisco SNA, formerly known as Stealthwatch.
- Manage Cisco network and WLAN-related projects, operations, and administrative tasks, while overseeing a Supplier-managed network and WLAN resource team.
- Act as a liaison between the customer and RMS for issue management and resolution.
- Offer remote hands support for the RMS Network Operations Center (NOC) as needed.
- Deliver technical support for Cisco SNA, Cisco ISE, and network-related projects, including design, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Support various project coordination efforts as required by HUD directives.
The On-Site Support Specialist will assist in implementing and providing lifecycle management support for Cisco SNA, Cisco ISE, and WLAN/LAN solutions. Duties include creating design and testing documentation, coordinating deployment testing at various sites, and ensuring that Site Readiness and Cutover milestones are achieved. During site deployment, they will help stage equipment and support installers on-site. Under NOC supervision, they will assist with configuration changes and service updates.
Key Activities:
- Support design, testing, and integration initiatives.
- Execute installation plans as directed by program leadership.
- Collaborate with HUD, AT&T, and contractor engineers.
- Provide design input during peer reviews as requirements evolve into formal designs.
- Perform site and system testing, including installation, deployment, functional, production release, and customer acceptance testing.
- Deliver technical networking support for Cisco SNA, Cisco ISE, and LAN/WLAN projects, including design, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Serve as a liaison between the customer and RMS for issue management and offer remote hands support for the RMS NOC as needed.
- Provide on-site support and assistance to the NOC, including initial or day 2 configurations and ongoing troubleshooting of:
- Cisco ISE WLAN guest portal functionality
- Cisco ISE LDAP or SAML2-based SSO integration
- Cisco ISE endpoint client provisioning and compliance policies
- Cisco ISE TACACS+ device administration
- Cisco ISE testing and monitoring
- listing/listing activities with Cisco ISE
- Cisco SNA integration and configuration tasks
- Cisco SNA response management, security events, map imports, and host identification/mapping
- Utilize Cisco Prime WLAN or DNA Center to generate custom reports.
- Lead on-site support teams, managing incidents and providing escalation assistance.
- Provide backfill support for colleagues as needed for unexpected absences.
Training and Certification Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of operational experience with Cisco networking environments, covering routing, switching, WLAN, TACACS, ISE, and SNA.
- Cisco CCNA certification required; Cisco CCNP preferred.
- Cisco security certifications preferred, including:
- Cisco Certified Specialist - Security Identity Management Implementation
- Cisco Stealthwatch Administration.
