Your Leadership Impact

As the Chief of Medical Physics, your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting Strategic Direction:
    Establish a vision for physics operations that aligns with departmental and institutional objectives. Act as a key advisor on technology, capital planning, and clinical program development.
  • Driving Clinical Excellence:
    Ensure stringent quality assurance, patient safety, and adherence to all regulatory standards. Oversee all physics operations, including treatment planning, machine QA, commissioning, calibration, and radiation safety protocols.
  • Innovating & Integrating:
    Lead the advancement of new technologies, automation, and adaptive therapy workflows.
  • Mentoring & Developing Talent:
    Foster a culture of academic growth through faculty development, resident training, supervision programs, mentorship, and staff engagement. Support teaching activities within our academic programs.
  • Advancing Research:
    Secure funding, promote collaborations, shape strategic research directions, and translate discoveries into clinical innovations.
  • Representing Our Organization:
    Enhance our national and international reputation through publications, presentations, and professional leadership.
  • Operational Leadership:
    Manage budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic planning for technology and personnel.
  • Recruitment:
    Attract and retain qualified professionals who demonstrate leadership, innovation, and academic excellence.
Qualifications

Required:

  • PhD in Medical Physics, Physics, or a related discipline
  • ABR certification (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in academic clinical medical physics

Preferred:

  • 10+ years of leadership experience
  • Expertise across all modalities
  • Strong research background and experience in strategic planning
  • Proven ability to secure NIH or equivalent extramural funding
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including:

  • Starting compensation ranging from $159,000 to $985,945, based on academic rank and experience
