Job Title- Information System Security Engineer (ISSE)

Job Summary

We are seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to design, implement, and maintain security controls that protect organizational information systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with IT, development, and infrastructure teams to ensure systems are secure, compliant, and resilient against cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement security solutions for enterprise information systems.
• Integrate security controls throughout the system development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Conduct security risk assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities.
• Perform security reviews of system architectures, applications, and infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain identity and access management (IAM) controls.
• Configure and monitor security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and SIEM tools.
• Support vulnerability assessments, remediation efforts, and security testing.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, procedures, and technical standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the organization's overall security posture.
• Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of network, operating system, and application security.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Understanding of vulnerability management and risk assessment methodologies.
• Knowledge of scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SIEM, IAM, endpoint security, and vulnerability management tools.
• Knowledge of secure system architecture and security engineering principles.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and security automation.
• Experience with virtualization and container security (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of encryption, PKI, and key management.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, or SOC 2 (as applicable).
