Job Title: Software Development Lead – Guidewire PolicyCenter

Location: Hartford, CT or Hunt Valley, MD- Hybrid

Duration: 6 months

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Lead with strong Guidewire expertise to serve as a technical subject matter expert and lead the design, development, and implementation of Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with team mentorship and stakeholder management in a hybrid delivery environment.

The ideal candidate will bring deep Guidewire platform experience, active certifications, and proven leadership capabilities to drive high-quality solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions across the full software development lifecycle.
Act as a technical lead and subject matter expert, providing hands-on guidance and decision-making support.
Translate complex business and technical requirements into clear technical specifications for development teams.
Facilitate team discussions to ensure alignment on architecture, design, and delivery goals.
Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance system performance, scalability, and user experience.
Manage technical stakeholder communication and contribute to key architectural and delivery decisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Guidewire PolicyCenter – Expert proficiency (8+ years preferred)
Guidewire Integration – 5+ years of hands-on experience
Guidewire Advanced Product Designer (APD) – 5+ years of experience
Active Guidewire Certifications – Mandatory
Technical Leadership Experience – Minimum 2 years in a lead role
Strong hands-on development skills with the ability to confidently answer technical and architectural questions
Ability to work hybrid (3 days onsite)
