Our firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join our team. The selected candidate will play a critical role in defending insurance companies against various types of claims, including personal injury, property damage, and general liability. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging and complex cases while providing strategic legal counsel to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance laws and regulations, as well as the ability to successfully navigate the intricacies of insurance defense litigation.

  • Defend insurance companies against claims in areas such as personal injury, property damage, and general liability.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support defense strategies.
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
  • Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients when appropriate.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.

  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal professionals to develop and implement defense strategies.


Job Details

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Insurance Defense Attorney with a focus on general liability.
  • Proven track record of successfully defending insurance companies against claims.
  • Strong understanding of insurance laws and regulations.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to handle a high caseload and work under pressure.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes favorably for clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain strong client relationships.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
