DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

The IT Modernization Analyst will manage multiple internal IT modernization initiatives by engaging with stakeholders to understand business needs, evaluating processes and systems, defining and prioritizing requirements, and identifying improvement opportunities. Leverage AI to analyze and synthesize information.

CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills/Experience

  • 8 years - Required - Senior-level experience performing business analysis, process analysis, systems analysis, or technology modernization work, including identifying business needs, documenting current-state processes, and recommending improvements.
  • 8 years - Required - Experience engaging with business and technical stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, validate, and prioritize business and functional requirements.
  • 5 years - Required - Experience analyzing business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, gaps, duplication, manual activities, and opportunities for automation or modernization.
  • 5 years - Required - Skill in managing or coordinating multiple concurrent initiatives, assessments, or workstreams with competing priorities and stakeholders.
  • 3 years - Required - Experience translating complex business or technical information into clear documentation, findings, recommendations, presentations, or decision-support materials for varied audiences.
  • 3 years - Required - Experience using data, research, or other qualitative and quantitative information to identify trends, evaluate options, and support recommendations.
  • 1 year - Required - Experience using generative AI or AI-enabled tools to research, analyze, summarize, synthesize, or organize information, with the ability to validate outputs for accuracy and appropriateness.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • 3 years - Preferred - Experience working in an Agile, product management, project management, or portfolio management environment.
  • 1 year - Preferred - Experience in Texas state government, higher education, or another public-sector environment.
