Role Overview
Under direct supervision, the End User Computing Specialist 1 provides accurate, timely, and creative solutions to end-user computer, telecom, and networking problems of a moderate to complex nature. This role is essential for ensuring end-user productivity by acting as a second-level resolution resource. This position supports a wide variety of specialty roles, including Communication, Desktop, Network, Infrastructure, Print, Audio-Visual, and Integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a second-level resolution resource, including recognizing, researching, isolating, and resolving information systems issues.
- Perform restorative and maintenance actions either remotely or at the end user's location to resolve problems.
- Provide general maintenance and support of IT hardware and infrastructure.
- Recommend systems modifications to reduce user issues.
- Respond to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment or software installations.
- Collaborate with Tier 2 support personnel for appropriate services, repairs, troubleshooting, and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate information and data regarding end-user issues within the tracking system according to policies and standards.
- Handle basic issues and problems, and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of applicable experience is required. Relevant education may be considered in lieu of experience.
Technical Skills: Possesses entry-level knowledge of subject matter related to end-user computing, including hardware and infrastructure.
Professional Skills: Must be customer service-oriented with the ability to assist users in solving technical issues.
Work Environment
- This is an in-field position that requires travel throughout the Magic Valley and Wood River areas to multiple sites.
- The work will be performed inside healthcare and hospital environments, which may involve occasional patient contact.
- Occasional overnight travel to locations outside the Wood River area may be required.
- A candidate must have reliable transportation that can be used as needed during all shifts. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $15.00 to $18.00 per hour. Please note that the final pay rate will be determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience and qualifications.
