Project Manager to support our Data Science team, partnering closely with technical, product, and cross-functional teams to drive delivery of complex initiatives. This role is ideal for a highly organized, adaptable project manager with strong experience in technical project management, Agile delivery, Jira management, and coordination across multiple teams.
Duration: long term open ended contract with the potential to convert to FTE
Location: Greenwood Village, CO
Onsite Requirement: 3 days onsite 2 days remote
The Project Manager will play a key role in facilitating sprint ceremonies, maintaining project visibility, coordinating dependencies, tracking execution, and ensuring leadership has clear, timely status updates. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in fast-moving environments, can pivot quickly as priorities evolve, and excels at building strong working relationships with both technical and product stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesAgile Delivery & Sprint Execution
- Facilitate Agile sprint ceremonies, including:
- Sprint Backlog Refinement
- Sprint Planning
- Daily Standups
- Sprint Retrospectives
- Support teams in maintaining sprint readiness and execution discipline
- Partner with product and technical teams to align priorities, timelines, and deliverables
- Track sprint progress and identify risks, blockers, and opportunities for adjustment
Jira & Work Tracking- Own Jira hygiene, reporting, and workflow coordination across initiatives
- Create, organize, and track tickets to support delivery across multiple workstreams
- Maintain visibility into project progress through dashboards, reporting, and status summaries
- Coordinate dependency tracking across teams to ensure work is sequenced appropriately
- Support bug reporting coordination and follow-through with relevant stakeholders
- Create and maintain project structures as needed, including sustainability and change/project tracking artifacts
Cross-Functional Coordination- Manage complex work across multiple teams, ensuring accountability and alignment
- Build strong relationships with technical teams, product teams, and leadership stakeholders
- Coordinate weekly status updates and leadership-level status reporting
- Lead and organize project-related meetings, including:
- Leadership meetings
- Sprint ceremonies
- Ad hoc working sessions
Quarterly Planning & Leadership Support- Coordinate quarterly planning activities across initiatives
- Prepare materials and track inputs for quarterly initiative planning
- Support leadership initiative reviews and approval processes
- Help ensure priorities, dependencies, and execution plans are clearly documented and communicated
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in project management, program coordination, or Agile delivery roles
- Strong working knowledge of Jira for ticket creation, tracking, reporting, and workflow management
- Experience supporting technical projects, ideally in data science, platform development, or software/product environments
- Demonstrated experience coordinating complex work across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and supporting sprint-based execution
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and pivot in a fast-changing environment
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting data science, AI/ML, or internal platform teams
- Familiarity with QA testing coordination and bug triage processes
- Experience preparing leadership-ready project updates and executive summaries
- Strong understanding of dependency management and cross-functional delivery planning
