IT Project Manager to help deliver the next wave of impactful, software implementation projects. If you're a strong communicator, a natural translator between business needs and technical teams, and you enjoy driving end-to-end project delivery, this is a role where you'll make a visible difference.
IT Project ManagerCompensation: $40-43/hr
Duration: Contract through 2026 with a strong potential for extensions and/or FTE conversion
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Onsite Requirement: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote per week
About the RoleAs an IT Project Manager, you'll serve as the primary IT liaison for small to medium-sized software implementation projects. You'll partner closely with business departments, vendors, and internal IT teams to ensure solutions are delivered on time, on budget, and with clarity at every step.
What You'll DoYou'll manage projects from requirements gathering through go-live and closeout, including:
- Leading end-to-end project management for small/medium efforts
- Gathering and documenting business requirements
- Supporting procurement processes (RFPs, vendor evaluations, buy-first/cloud-first strategy)
- Coordinating planning and execution with vendors
- Managing internal resources and ensuring readiness for vendor configuration
- Acting as the translator between IT and business stakeholders
- Providing clear, consistent communication to customers and IT leadership
- Escalating and de-escalating issues with professionalism and solution-orientation
- Supporting senior PMs on large, multi-workstream initiatives
What You Bring- 2-5+ years of IT project management experience
- Experience gathering requirements and managing full project lifecycles
- Experience with procurement processes (preferred)
- Strong vendor management and coordination skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with executives, business partners, and technical teams
- Comfort managing expectations, navigating change, and guiding customers through decisions
- PMP certification preferred
