Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced Ontology Engineer / Knowledge Graph Engineer to design and implement insurance-focused semantic data models and knowledge graphs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ontology design, semantic modeling, and knowledge graph technologies, along with exposure to LLMs and modern data platforms.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop ontologies and knowledge graphs aligned with business and regulatory requirements

• Translate business requirements into semantic models, including entities, relationships, and constraints

• Build and manage semantic data models for insurance domain use cases

• Define and implement data validation, quality rules, and compliance standards

• Design data ingestion and mapping strategies across multiple source systems

• Implement ontology versioning and change management processes

• Ensure models are optimized for consumption by Power BI dashboards, APIs, web applications, and audit exports

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to ensure scalability and performance

• Optimize knowledge graphs for efficient querying and analytics

• Support integration with LLM-based applications and semantic search capabilities

🔹 Required Skills:

• Strong experience in Ontology Engineering / Semantic Data Modeling / Knowledge Graphs

• Hands-on experience with at least one Vector Database:

  • Neo4j / Cosmos DB / Pinecone / Weaviate / Chroma / FAISS

• Experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks

• Experience with Power BI or Tableau for data visualization

• Experience working with LLM models (OpenAI, etc.) and semantic search

• Strong knowledge of RDF, OWL, SPARQL (preferred)

• Experience in data modeling, metadata management, and schema design

• Ability to work with multiple data sources and integration patterns

🔹 Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Insurance domain (highly preferred)

• Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and audit frameworks

• Experience with API integrations and data services

• Familiarity with graph-based analytics and reasoning engines

• Integrated data pipelines for semantic ingestion

• Reporting-ready datasets for Power BI/Tableau dashboards
