Description
We are looking for an experienced Event Manager to lead demand generation and attendee acquisition for a portfolio of continuing education-eligible events in Georgia. This role is focused on building the marketing strategy that drives relevant decision-makers to attend introductory programs, client engagement events, specialty sessions, and large-scale conferences. The ideal candidate brings a strong direct-response mindset, excels at managing performance against attendance goals, and collaborates effectively with internal teams and external partners to deliver measurable results.
Responsibilities:
Create and oversee the yearly event marketing roadmap, including campaign timing, promotional strategy, and budget management across multiple event types.
Define target audiences and develop segmentation and list strategies for prospects, active clients, members, and former participants to improve outreach effectiveness.
Manage the full webinar-to-registration journey, from shaping topics and promotions to increasing conversions into paid event attendance.
Lead attendee generation efforts for partner-led and joint promotional events by coordinating shared campaigns, aligning outreach plans, and driving registration targets.
Develop and optimize registration experiences, including pricing structures, deposit options, deadlines, and other conversion-focused mechanics.
Build communication workflows that increase attendance, including reminder campaigns, confirmation touchpoints, and pre-event messaging that prepares registrants to participate.
Monitor registration performance against established milestones, identify pacing risks early, and recommend corrective actions to improve event fill rates.
Establish clear event marketing measurement standards, maintain reliable reporting baselines, and track return on investment across campaigns and channels.
Partner with creative, paid media, member marketing, and strategic alliance teams by setting campaign direction, developing briefs, and ensuring execution meets performance goals.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in marketing or event-driven demand generation, with direct accountability for attendance or revenue results tied to live events.
Demonstrated success marketing paid events and using performance data such as attendance rates, conversion metrics, and cost per attendee to guide decisions.
Strong direct-response marketing background with experience designing campaigns around timing, urgency, follow-up sequences, and measurable outcomes.
Experience promoting to business-focused audiences such as healthcare providers, financial specialists, legal practitioners, or similar groups.
Ability to build repeatable marketing systems that can support a high volume of events without relying on ad hoc execution.
Confidence managing externally partnered promotions and maintaining accountability for attendance goals in shared-marketing environments.
Working knowledge of marketing automation platforms, webinar tools, registration systems, and analytics reporting.
Familiarity with event marketing and audience engagement, with skills related to community outreach, event data analysis, and overall event management.
Innovation starts with people.
