Electrical Engineering ManagerYour work environment at EXPIn this role, you will lead a dynamic team of electrical engineers and designers
for Science, Technology and Healthcare MEP projects in the San Diego, California office.
What a day at EXP has in store for you- Technical Subject Matter Expert in electrical building systems design.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor designer level staff on all of their responsibilities.
- Knowledge in/with the CEC/NEC, NFPA Life Safety Code, HCAI, and DSA standards.
- Perform at a 'responsible charge' level meeting EXP's design and quality levels.
- Performs complex code analysis and writes interpretation for design team.
- Oversee development of design concepts and ensure proper application and execution.
- Verifies designer's work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings.
- Responsible for applying firms risk management practices of project engineering.
- Lead the design team to produce construction documents that meet the project requirements within the allocated schedule and budget.
- Execute complex electrical designs.
- Evaluate Value Engineering items with respect to EXP's level of risk.
- Prepares studies and reports for high profile projects.
- Positively contribute to EXP and local office culture.
What your experience looks like- Minimum of 15 years of experience in related design in one of the following: Healthcare, Life Sciences, Research and Development, and other facilities systems and building projects.
- Engineering Degree (BS Architectural Engineering, or BS Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree).
- Registered Professional Engineer in the state of California.
- Ability to travel locally.
The pay range for this role is $170,000 - $225,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
