The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and supporting all audit and compliance activities associated with the BMC3I Elite platform. This role ensures adherence to regulatory, organizational, and ITSM governance requirements by maintaining accurate compliance documentation, resolving audit findings, and enabling system-wide control improvements.
The ideal candidate has proven experience in audit coordination, compliance management, ITSM governance, and hands-on knowledge of BMC3I Elite workflows, data structures, and reporting capabilities. This individual serves as a critical link between auditors, system owners, security teams, and program stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
The Systems Engineer, SME will:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between auditors, assessors, and internal teams for all BMC3I Elite-related audits
- Coordinate audit schedules, evidence requests, interviews, walk throughs, and documentation submissions
- Track audit progress, maintain status updates, and ensure timely and accurate responses to auditor inquiries
- Maintain compliance documentation within BMC3I Elite, including control evidence, SOPs, risk records, and configuration baselines
- Ensure BMC3I Elite processes comply with organizational policies, ITSM standards, and regulatory frameworks
- Manage compliance workflows, approvals, and corrective action plans using BMC3I Elite capabilities
- Identify compliance gaps, audit findings, and risk areas related to BMC Elite modules and workflows
- Collaborate with system administrators, security teams, and program managers to develop and track remediation actions
- Monitor control effectiveness and update evidence repositories to reflect corrective measures
- Produce audit readiness reports, compliance dashboards, metrics, and executive summaries using BMC3I Elite reporting tools
- Support governance boards, process reviews, and internal inspections with accurate compliance data
- Ensure configuration, incident, change, and service data meets audit and compliance requirements
- Recommend improvements to BMC3I Elite workflows, automation, and documentation processes to enhance audit readiness
- Implement compliance best practices across the platform and related enterprise processes
- Support user training and awareness activities related to compliance procedures and audit findings
Responsibilities
Skills & Experience
The Systems Engineer, SME must have:
- Active TS/SCI with SAP Access
- 15+ years of experience in compliance management, audit coordination, IT governance, or risk management
- Hands-on experience with BMC3I Elite, BMC3I Helix, or comparable ITSM/ESM platforms
- Strong understanding of audit processes, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and IT governance frameworks
- Ability to manage compliance evidence, workflow tracking, dashboards, and reporting within BMC3I Elite
- Experience with ITSM processes (incident, change, problem, configuration) and their audit implications
- Expertise with documentation management, policy interpretation, and compliance analysis
- Experience liaising between technical teams, auditors, and management
- Strong communication skills with the ability to prepare clear, defensible compliance evidence and reports
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple audits and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience supporting enterprise IT, service management, or security compliance environments
Education & Certifications
The Systems Engineer, SME must meet the following:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Accounting/Audit, Compliance or Risk Management, or a related field
Preferred
- Master's degree (MBA, MSIS, MIS, or Cybersecurity)
- BMC3I Elite/BMC3I Helix platform certification or training
- ITIL v4 Foundation
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Compliance or risk certifications (CRISC, CGRC, CCEP)
- Security certifications (Security+, CISSP associate-level knowledge)
- Project Management certifications (PMP, CAPM)
