Job Title: Audit Network TechnicianLocation: New Albany, OH (On-site)

OverviewWe are seeking a highly detail-oriented
Audit Network Technician to support network validation, infrastructure auditing, and troubleshooting within a large-scale data center environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring network accuracy, operational readiness, and compliance across all infrastructure layers prior to and after site go-live.This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong network fundamentals who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and ensuring precision across complex technical environments.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret and analyze Engineering Design Packages (EDPs), schematics, and network layouts
- Perform network audits and validations, ensuring infrastructure aligns with design specifications
- Trace circuits end-to-end across Layer 1-3 to verify connectivity and accuracy
- Create, update, and maintain detailed circuit maps and network diagrams
- Identify and troubleshoot issues across physical, configuration, and network layers
- Validate network inventory, asset tracking, and documentation accuracy
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams to resolve discrepancies
- Proactively identify workflow bottlenecks or inconsistencies and recommend improvements
- Document all audit findings and produce clear, organized reports with actionable insights
- Support data center turn-ups and ensure readiness prior to operational launch
Required Qualifications- Strong understanding of network fundamentals (Layer 1-3)
- Experience with cabling infrastructure, including fiber and copper
- Ability to trace and map circuits end-to-end
- Experience reading and interpreting technical design documents, schematics, and layouts
- Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and support
- Strong attention to detail, especially with documentation and validation processes
- Ability to isolate and resolve issues across multiple infrastructure layers
- Familiarity with switches, routers, and general network infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in data center, telecom, or enterprise network environments
- Certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or OSHA 10 (nice to have, not required)
- Experience with network auditing tools, GIS systems, or topology mapping tools
- Previous experience supporting large-scale network deployments or audits
Work Environment & Schedule- Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Rotating on-call schedule required
- During site turn-up phases:
- 10-hour shifts, up to 6 days per week
- On-site work in a data center environment requiring adherence to safety and operational protocols
Travel & Lodging- Primary assignment: New Albany, OH
- Additional project locations may include national data center sites
- Travel technicians receive:
- Company-arranged lodging (Airbnb or extended-stay hotels)
- Option for rental vehicle or flights coordinated through internal travel team
- Opportunity to return home approximately once per month
- Potential for relocation to long-term project sites, with relocation assistance available upon conversion
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of New Albany, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
