Job description:    

We''''''''''''''''re looking for an  IT Course Writer/Trainer to design, develop, and deliver high-quality training programs for technical and business users. This role requires expertise in instructional design, technical writing, and training delivery across diverse software platforms. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of content development, stakeholder collaboration, and hands-on training experience, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and user adoption.

 

NOTE: This is a Client-Facing Role requiring strong professionalism and communication skills.

                         

CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

Minimum Requirements:

Years     Required/Preferred        Experience

8             Required              Experience designing, developing and implementing training curricula. Develop training programs, including instructor led courses, job‐aids, videos, etc.

5             Required              Skill in writing technical and business documents, and in the use of a computer and applicable software.

5             Required              Experience in technical writing, journalism, or communications work. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, English, education, or a related field is generally preferred. Experience

4             Preferred             Knowledge of the techniques and methods of planning, organizing, and writing various types of materials

4             Preferred             Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite 2010 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). A high degree of aptitude and flexibility to deliver training on a myriad of software products.

 

Job Duties

  • Design and develop comprehensive training curricula aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • Create engaging learning materials, including:
  • Instructor-Led Training (ILT) sessions
  • eLearning modules
  • Job aids and user manuals
  • Training videos and walkthroughs
  • Apply instructional design methodologies (ADDIE or similar frameworks).
  • Conduct training sessions for diverse audiences including technical teams, business users, and end-users.
  • Customize training delivery based on audience skill levels and learning needs.
  • Facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions.
  • Develop clear, concise, and structured technical and business documentation.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly training materials.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all documentation and learning assets.
  • Partner with business units, SMEs, and project teams to identify training needs.
  • Gather requirements and convert them into actionable training strategies.
  • Incorporate feedback to continuously improve training programs.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and metrics.
  • Update training materials to reflect system enhancements and process changes.
  • Maintain training repositories and documentation libraries.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in training curriculum design and development.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing and documentation.
  • 5+ years of experience in communications, journalism, or related fields.
  • Proven experience delivering training across multiple platforms and tools.
  • Strong ability to create instructional content for both technical and non-technical audiences.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in planning, organizing, and developing training materials.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience delivering training on enterprise software applications.
  • Familiarity with eLearning tools (Articulate, Captivate, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong adaptability to quickly learn new technologies

 Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following (or related field):
