This position is fully onsite in Fort Worth, TX.
Chemical ProcessBring your experience and ideas to the Chemical and Processes Engineering Laboratory, where you'll perform engineering analyses and execute complex test procedures. This lab plays a critical role in supporting chemical processes for manufacturing and encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including chemical and composite material analysis, contamination assessments, and coatings research. Additional functions include plant effluent testing, process research, and collaboration with other laboratories to prepare materials for bonding operations. You'll also contribute to lubricant evaluations, metal sample analysis, finish specifications, and corrosion protection strategies for aircraft.
What you'll be doing as a Chemical & Processes Engineer- Develop and expand knowledge of materials, processes and the controlling specifications
- Create lab processes and procedures and manage test programs interacting with lab personnel
- Develop and expand technical writing skills through preparation of lab reports and updating specifications
- Provide chemical processes and materials technical support to Production, Suppliers, Procurement, and Quality, which may include reviewing/approving process instructions, planning, audits, and troubleshooting or manufacturing problems.
- Support chemical and processes IRAD and other research activities.
- Provide technical support to Design Engineering Groups in all phases of material selection, application, and processing.
- Provide technical support to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Skills You Bring To this Role- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related engineering discipline
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Chemical & Processes related to manufacturing and/or supplier support, preferably within the Aerospace industry
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
- Ability to travel based on business needs
- Knowledge of coatings, composite materials, metallic materials, metals finishing, and/or other chemical processes and industry test methods, including some of the following topics but not all:
- Chemical Process Solutions (Anodize, Chemical Film, Etch, etc.)
- Corrosion Protection
- Analytical chemistry including test equipment, methods, and results
- Surface Preparation for bonding on metals and composites
- Part Marking
