About the Opportunity

Are you an automotive technician, mechanic, or service professional looking to transition from the shop floor into a professional office environment? We are seeking an Automotive Warranty Specialist to join a growing team that supports vehicle service contract and warranty claims.
In this role, you'll utilize your automotive repair expertise to review mechanical claims, communicate with dealerships and vehicle owners, and determine warranty coverage eligibility. This is a great opportunity to apply your technical knowledge in a less physically demanding environment while gaining valuable experience in claims administration and customer support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and process mechanical claims using established warranty guidelines.
  • Utilize automotive repair knowledge to determine claim eligibility and coverage.
  • Communicate with dealerships, repair facilities, and vehicle owners via phone and email.
  • Explain claim approvals, denials, and required next steps.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while resolving claim-related questions and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate claim documentation and electronic records.
  • Follow established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure consistent and fair claim decisions.

Primary Call Types

Dealership Repair Requests

  • Review repair recommendations submitted by dealerships.
  • Determine whether repairs qualify for warranty coverage.
  • Communicate approval or denial decisions based on contract guidelines.

Customer Claim Questions

  • Explain claim outcomes and coverage decisions.
  • Answer questions regarding contract benefits and repair eligibility.

Claims Process Guidance

  • Assist customers in understanding how to obtain repair estimates.
  • Explain required documentation and next steps in the claims process.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of automotive repair experience or equivalent technical automotive knowledge preferred.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Engine repair
    • Transmission systems
    • Electrical systems
    • Vehicle diagnostics
    • General automotive repair procedures
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems while speaking with customers.

Preferred

  • ASE Certifications.
  • Dealership service department experience.
  • Warranty administration experience.
  • Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply.

Work Schedule

  • Operating hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
  • Saturday hours are 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
  • Candidates must have open availability during operating hours.
  • Employees are assigned a consistent schedule.
  • Must be willing to work approximately one Saturday per month.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid schedule available following successful completion of training and onboarding requirements.
  • Initial training and onboarding are conducted onsite.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Earth City, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $36.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
