Sr. Tax Analyst
Description:
The Tax Analyst is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. This role involves preparing, reviewing and filing tax returns, analyzing tax data, and supporting tax planning strategies to minimize risk and optimize tax efficiency. The Tax Analyst will collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to maintain accurate records and meet all reporting deadlines.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns accurately and on time
- Ensure accurate tax set up and create payroll adjustment entries if necessary.
- Assist in tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Help in resolving tax notices and provide proper resolutions to the clients.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate impacts to the organization.
- Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Analyze financial data to identify tax implications and opportunities for savings.
- Maintain and update tax records and documentation for internal and external reporting.
- Support tax planning initiatives and provide recommendations to management.
- Confirm all the tax setup is correct in prism for billing and cost and account numbers and balancing taxes etc.
- Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions.
- Prepare custom reports for management, vendors, and clients.
- Experienced in using Zendesk or other similar ticketing systems.
Non-negotiable Skills & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience: 1–3 years of tax experience
Skills:
- Experience with multi-state tax filings and international tax compliance.
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
