Role Overview
We are seeking a Scrum Master to work closely with the Product Owner. This role involves prioritizing and leading the delivery of initiative capabilities by removing impediments, facilitating team events, and fostering a high-performance environment. The position requires participation in complex projects with minimal supervision and offers latitude for independent judgment.
Key Responsibilities
- Exhibit Lean-Agile Leader behaviors and help the team embrace SAFe core values, principles, and practices.
- Support the team's adherence to Scrum rules, eliminate impediments, and lead efforts for continuous improvement.
- Ensure the technology and service delivery roadmap supports the solution strategy.
- Facilitate the team's progress toward goals, using Program Increment (PI) Objectives as Iteration Goals.
- Ensure goals, scope, and product backlog items are understood by the team.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner, customers, and developers to clarify the scope of problems.
- Represent the team in the Scrum of Scrums (SoS) to maintain awareness of engagement opportunities.
- Challenge existing development norms to improve quality, predictability, flow, and velocity.
- Support software development teams in applying the Scrum framework.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with financial institutions, fraud teams, and/or advanced Azure DevOps.
- Functional and technical expertise in at least one analytics or business intelligence application.
- Project management experience with fundamentals in advanced analytics, data integration, and visualization.
- Working knowledge of Cloud Applications such as Azure and Data Bricks.
- Proficiency in software development and system administration.
- Experience in resource allocation and management.
- Experience leading and coaching professional staff.
- Experience leading agile development teams and facilitating team meetings.
- Advanced knowledge of development or operations framework methodologies, including Agile principles.
- Advanced skills in database and presentation software.
- Advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective skill in building strategic and execution-focused plans with partner leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in Banking, Finance, or Investments.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
- CSM and/or PMI-ACP certification.
