Location: Merrifield, Virginia (Hybrid)
Role Overview
This is a hybrid Technical Product Analyst/Scrum Master role responsible for driving Agile delivery execution while performing technical and process analysis for membership initiatives. The position involves partnering with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, and the Release Train Engineer (RTE) to ensure predictable delivery and high-quality outcomes aligned to Program Increment (PI) objectives. The role blends Scrum Master servant leadership with hands-on technical and project analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Scrum Master for an Agile team, facilitating all Agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, and Retrospectives.
- Coach teams on Scrum and SAFe practices to foster self-organization and continuous improvement.
- Identify, track, and remove or escalate impediments and risks that impact delivery.
- Support PI Planning, ART syncs, and coordination with other teams and Shared Services.
- Apply Agile project management practices to support scope, schedule, and dependency management.
- Track and report team performance, velocity, and delivery health.
- Perform technical and functional analysis of business requirements, system workflows, APIs, and data integrations related to the Pega platform and S3 microservices.
- Partner with the Product Owner to create, refine, and prioritize product backlogs.
- Analyze dependencies, scope, risks, and impacts across teams and systems.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, architecture, and delivery teams.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience is required.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in Agile delivery roles, with experience as a Scrum Master and/or Technical Analyst is required. Prior Business Analyst (BA) experience is preferred. Experience working with technical teams on APIs, integrations, data flows, or service-based architectures is also required.
Technical Skills: A strong understanding of SAFe Agile, Scrum, and Lean principles is necessary. The role requires the ability to analyze complex systems and translate requirements into executable backlog items. Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), CSM, or equivalent Agile certification.
- Prior experience supporting enterprise-scale transformation programs.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar Agile lifecycle tools.
- Experience operating in matrixed, distributed teams.
