Position Overview
We are seeking a Scrum Master to support an enterprise Agile transformation within a leading healthcare organization. This role is ideal for candidates with foundational Agile knowledge and experience in project coordination or PMO environments who are looking to grow into a more hands-on Scrum Master position. You will support multiple cross-functional teams across IT, infrastructure, and telecom initiatives-helping to drive organization, accountability, and Agile best practices. This is a collaborative, evolving environment where processes are still being defined, providing opportunities for learning, mentorship, and career growth.
Duties
- Facilitate and support Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Grooming sessions.
- Support multiple Agile teams (5+ teams) by helping maintain structure, organization, and alignment during sprint cycles.
- Partner with Product Owners to assist in backlog management and prioritization.
- Track sprint progress, monitor stories/tasks, and ensure accurate updates in Agile tools (ServiceNow preferred).
- Help identify and escalate blockers, ensuring timely resolution.
- Drive team accountability by following up on tasks, deliverables, and commitments.
- Support monthly sprint cycles and assist with large-scale sprint planning events involving multiple teams.
- Facilitate retrospectives and help document and action continuous improvement opportunities.
- Promote Agile best practices and support team members who are newer to Agile.
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and leadership to help standardize processes and improve team alignment.
Requirements
- 2-4+ years of experience in project coordination, PMO, or Agile support roles.
- Foundational understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies.
- Experience supporting Agile teams, even in a shadowing or coordination capacity.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Communication and facilitation abilities.
- Experience using Agile tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Azure DevOps.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM, or actively working toward certification.
- Experience working in healthcare, hospital, or regulated environments.
- Exposure to infrastructure, networking, or telecom projects.
- Experience in environments transitioning from traditional PMO to Agile.
