Role Overview -
The Senior ProcuretoPay (P2P) Business Analyst serves as a lead functional expert and strategic partner across procurement, finance, and technology teams. In this contract role, you will drive complex P2P initiatives, translate business requirements into scalable solutions, and guide process transformation across SAP ECC/S/4, Ariba, Fieldglass, Workday, and integrated enterprise systems.
You will operate as a senior liaison, ensuring alignment with business strategy, compliance frameworks, and enterprise architecture while enabling efficient procurement, invoicing, and payment operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead discovery sessions with global procurement, AP, finance, and IT stakeholders to define business needs and futurestate P2P capabilities.
Translate complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications, solution designs, and integration requirements across SAP ECC/S/4, Ariba, Fieldglass, and Workday.
Serve as the senior functional authority for P2P processes, including purchasing, vendor management, invoicing, threeway match, payments, and compliance controls.
Drive endtoend P2P transformation initiatives, including process harmonization, automation, workflow optimization, and system modernization.
Oversee functional configuration, change impact assessments, and crossplatform integration design.
Lead testing cycles (SIT, UAT), defect triage, and deployment readiness for major releases and enhancements.
Provide expert guidance to technical teams, ensuring solutions meet enterprise architecture standards, scalability requirements, and audit/compliance expectations.
Mentor junior analysts and support crossfunctional teams with training, documentation, and adoption of new P2P capabilities.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities and recommend strategic enhancements to strengthen P2P performance and user experience.
Required Qualifications
8–12+ years of handson experience in P2P functional analysis, ERP transformation, or procurement technology consulting.
Deep expertise in SAP ECC or S/4HANA P2P modules (MM, AP, Procurement).
Strong functional knowledge of Ariba (Buying, Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier Management) and Fieldglass.
Experience designing and supporting integrations with Workday or similar ERP/HCM systems.
Proven track record leading largescale P2P transformation or global process harmonization initiatives.
Advanced skills in requirements gathering, solution design, process mapping, and functional documentation.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership capabilities.
Ability to operate independently in a fastpaced, projectdriven contract environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in shared services, global procurement operations, or regulated industries.
Familiarity with OCR/AP automation, workflow tools, and vendor onboarding platforms.
Understanding of SOX, audit controls, and procurement compliance frameworks.
SAP, Ariba, or Fieldglass certifications.
