Interview Brief:
Candidate should responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining relational databases and complex reporting solutions to support business data needs This role bridges database engineering and business intelligence, requiring deep expertise in T-SQL and the SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) platform.
Key Responsibilities
Database Development: Design and maintain SQL Server databases, including schemas, tables, views, triggers, and indexes. Advanced T-SQL: Write and optimize complex stored procedures and functions for data manipulation and report generation. Report Engineering: Design and deploy various SSRS report types, including tabular, matrix, drill-down, and graphical reports. Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize query performance and report execution times to ensure efficient resource usage. ETL Processes: Develop and maintain Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) workflows, often using SSIS to prepare data for reporting. Administration & Security: Manage report server configurations, implement data security protocols, and handle routine maintenance like backups and recovery.
Required Qualifications & Skills Technical Proficiency:
Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2012 or newer) and SSRS.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Experience: Typically 3+ years in SQL and reporting development roles. Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to interpret complex data and solve technical bottlenecks. Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical business users.
Preferred Certifications: Credentials like Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or similar data analyst certifications.
