The OpportunityWe are collaborating with manufacturing firms in St. Johns that are seeking skilled Engineering Managers. Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Oversee the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables.
- Manage engineering project lifecycles from conception through implementation, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Implement and maintain best practices for engineering design, documentation, and quality control.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Recommended Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related field).
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects from conception to completion within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality systems (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma).
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers.
Bonus Qualifications- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and their integration into manufacturing processes.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
- Experience working with global teams or international manufacturing operations.
