Partner, Head of Structured Notes - New Markets

Position Overview

Apollo is seeking a Partner to lead the formation of a global Structured Notes business within the firm's New Markets group. The Head of Structured Notes will be responsible for designing, launching and scaling structured access points for investors, drawing upon Apollo's global private markets investment platform-across credit, equity and hybrid. In addition, the Structured Notes business will leverage Athene's capability to create guaranteed solutions.

Structured solutions will be designed for both individual and institutional clients, across geographies. The ideal candidate will have the creativity and commercial instinct to explore unconventional approaches to designing new access points, drawing upon a strong foundation of current market conventions.

This is a strategic leadership position and a mandate to build one of the firm's core long-term growth verticals from the ground up. The role offers significant visibility and direct engagement with Apollo's Senior Leadership and capital formation teams.

Key Responsibilities
Day 1: establish product and global go-to-market plan; Day 2: execute on commercialization
Establish and scale Apollo's Structured Notes business, including product architecture, structuring, risk management, and distribution
Design and deliver investment solutions that incorporate Apollo's differentiated investment capabilities across credit, equity, and hybrid markets and Athene's capability to create guaranteed solutions
Lead day-to-day product development and commercial strategy across internal and external stakeholders in partnership with colleagues across Apollo's investment and product teams
Partner with capital formation at Apollo and Athene to develop a strategic plan for account coverage
Partner with Trading, Risk, Legal & Compliance, Technology, and Athene to ensure product integrity and seamless execution, performance reporting and forecasting
Manage any key third party relationships

Qualifications & Experience

15+ years of experience in structured products, with demonstrated success in product design and commercial execution
Deep technical expertise in structuring and pricing across multiple asset classes and risk-return profiles
Strong understanding of how to structure and fund notes off a rated balance sheet, including experience building and managing MTN programs and navigating related regulatory and operational considerations
Experience delivering structured solutions through a variety of channels across geographies (including institutional clients, private banks, wires and RIAs - in the US, Europe and Asia)
Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven track record of building new business lines and launching and selling innovative products
Ability to operate as a player-coach: comfortable rolling up sleeves to build analytics, pitch clients, and create content directly-while also laying the foundation for a scalable team and long-term platform.
Executive presence and communication skills; able to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
