Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer with extensive experience in software development and a strong background in DB2 Mainframe technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that meet our business needs. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions using DB2 Mainframe technologies.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Participate in project planning and estimation activities.
• Document software designs, processes, and procedures for future reference.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve software development practices.

Mandatory Skills:

• 7 10 years of experience in software development.
• Strong expertise in DB2 Mainframe technologies.
• Proficient in programming languages such as COBOL, Java, or C#.
• Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud technologies and modern software development practices.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
• Knowledge of additional databases and programming languages.
• Experience in mentoring junior developers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in software development or database management are a plus.
• Proven track record of successful software project delivery.
