Job Description -

Sr. Okta Administrator / Engineer (x2 openings) 

Location: ***3x/week ON-SITE in Richmond, VA. Has had issues with battling contractors to come into the office. THIS IS A MUST***

Duration: 6 months (likely extension)

Mode of Interview: 2 rounds Video Screening + One and done IV with manager !

Team / Environment

• Lean team — Annie is currently the only strong Okta SME
• Will be supporting ~150 applications in Okta
• 60+ apps still manually provisioned ? major automation need
• Mix of:

o    FTEs

o    ~11 contractors (handling lower-level/manual work)

Core Responsibilities

• Okta Administration + Engineering (hands-on)
• Terraform scripting for Okta (this is critical — how changes are made)
• User access management + provisioning
• Build and improve:

o    Okta integrations

o    Application onboarding

o    Automation workflows

• Reduce manual provisioning ? automated processes
• Work across teams to support end-to-end IAM workflows

Must-Have Requirements

• Strong Okta experience (Admin + Engineering)
• Terraform is REQUIRED

o    Must have hands-on experience writing Terraform to manage Okta (users, groups, apps, policies, etc.)

• Must have been part of an:

o    Okta implementation / build-out

o    Not just day-to-day administration or ticket work

• Comfortable in:

o    Unstructured / low-documentation environments

o    Owning work end-to-end

Leadership / Mentorship Expectations

• Act as a mentor/trainer to:

o    Internal associates (FTEs)

o    Junior contractors

• Help level up the team’s Okta + Terraform capabilities
• Provide guidance on:

o    Best practices

o    Automation strategy

o    Process improvements

Nice-to-Have

• Experience scaling or transforming IAM environments
• Strong background in:

o    Okta connectors (including LDAP)

o    Identity lifecycle automation

Context / Selling Points

• Environment is currently:

o    Manual-heavy

o    Lacking strong documentation

• Huge opportunity to:

o    Build + automate from the ground up
