Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Java Developer - Hybrid for a contract to hire position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This role is responsible for providing senior-level technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities include overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex, high-volume computer programs, aligning technical solutions to business objectives, and ensuring coding practices comply with software development standards. This position requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week onsite.
Responsibilities: - Provide technical direction and oversight to a development team
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs
- Align technical solutions to meet business objectives
- Ensure that coding practices and quality comply with software development standards
- Work on high-volume applications using server-side frameworks
Requirements: - 5+ years of hands-on software development experience
- Experience with the Spring Framework, including Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Integration, and Spring Data JPA
- Good understanding of SOAP web services and REST/JSON standards
- Experience building restful web services
- Working knowledge of front-end technologies like handlebars, foundation, and ReactJS
- Experience with XML and JSON binding libraries (JAXB, Jackson, GSON)
- Experience with unit testing using JUnit
- Proficiency with Git, Maven, Nexus, and an IDE such as Eclipse
- Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace
- Familiarity with MQ (Websphere MQ or ActiveMQ)
- Experience in performance tuning with a good understanding of JVM internals
- Experience with Groovy
- Strong background in Object-Oriented Programming and concepts
- Experienced in Distributed System development using Java/J2EE/Web Technologies
- Conversant in Java design patterns
- Basic knowledge of AI agents and using AI for code reviews
Desired skills: - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Exposure to Agile methodologies
- Ability to communicate complex technology solutions to diverse technical, business, and management teams
- Good interpersonal communication skills for a collaborative team environment
- Good analytical skills to break down requirements and solve complex problems
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
