Senior Business Analyst (GenAI Solutions)

Location: Charlotte, NC (On-site)

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Functional Analyst for a high-visibility Gen AI project involving document summarization and chatbots. This position requires a self-starter with strong analytical skills and leadership qualities, capable of effective communication across various organizational levels. The successful candidate will define end-to-end business functional requirements to support the target business process.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain business requirements (functional and technical) in partnership with business stakeholders.
• Develop functional solutions, conduct walkthroughs, and obtain sign-offs.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert to identify product development opportunities.
• Work with developers to ensure a correct understanding of requirements and own the functional delivery.
• Define testing requirements with the Quality Assurance team.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business and project management to ensure alignment.
• Establish and operate within the project governance structure, managing issues and risks.
• Contribute to the design and development of the project-level roadmap.
• Ensure projects are completed according to specifications and are properly documented.
• Collaborate with data sourcing teams to validate data completeness.
• Work with stakeholders during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure all deliverables meet requirements and are signed off.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree, advanced degree, or equivalent experience in a related IS/IT discipline is required.

Experience: A minimum of 10+ years of related IT experience, with at least 3+ years as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst. At least 1 year of professional experience executing end-to-end Gen AI projects.

Technical Skills:

• Working knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Ability to create and design effective prompts for large language models to query complex questions.
• Familiarity with Gen AI tools, large language models, embedding models, and vector databases.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to build Proof of Concepts (POCs) using Python/Streamlit is a significant advantage.
• Experience building high-performance, enterprise-scale applications.

Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this position is between $48.00 and $53.56 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.
