Top Global Tech Company Seeking Senior AI Product Designer

Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior-level Product Designer to design and ship high-quality, AI-powered consumer products. This role is focused on translating advanced AI capabilities into intuitive, usable, and compelling experiences. The designer in this role will operate in complex, ambiguous problem spaces, own work end to end, and set a high bar for craft, interaction quality, and user-centered thinking.
Experience designing and shipping AI products is a hard requirement for this role. Ideal candidates bring strong visual design craft, advanced interaction design skills, and the ability to rapidly prototype and iterate in fast-moving, 0 1 environments.
What You'll Do
You will own product design from early concept through launch, ensuring high-quality execution and alignment with product goals. You will design consumer AI experiences that clearly and effectively surface intelligent system capabilities to users. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including product, engineering, and research to define problems, explore solutions, and deliver cohesive experiences. You will rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on ideas, incorporating feedback in fast-paced and ambiguous environments. You will help define and evolve interaction patterns, visual language, and design systems where applicable. You will clearly communicate design rationale and decisions to stakeholders and advocate for accessibility, inclusion, and user-centric design.
Hard Requirements
Exceptional visual design craft with a portfolio demonstrating shipped consumer products. Advanced interaction design skills across complex product flows. Strong rapid prototyping skills with the ability to iterate quickly and effectively. Proven experience designing and shipping AI-powered products, with clear examples of how AI capabilities were translated into understandable, valuable user experiences.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Motion design experience. Systems design experience including building or maintaining design systems. Familiarity with emerging interaction models or intelligent systems. Experience collaborating closely with ML or data science partners.
Qualifications
8+ years of professional product design experience with a strong emphasis on visual and interaction design. A portfolio demonstrating high-quality shipped work, ideally including AI-driven products. Proven ability to deliver high-craft work in fast-paced environments, including 0 1 product development. Mastery of modern product design tools such as Figma and prototyping tools. Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills. Ability to work independently and drive projects forward with minimal oversight.
Performance Measurement
Performance will be measured by the consistent delivery of high-craft, user-centered design solutions in a fast-moving, high-priority environment.

30-minute portfolio review.

This is a Contract position based out of San Francisco, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $105.00/hr.
