Supply Chain Cost Program Manager
As a Supply Chain Cost Program Manager within the Supply Chain Quality and Reliability organization, you will be the primary architect of cost data integrity for our Client’s Direct Procurement team. You will lead the "machinery" of our cost management process—transitioning from manual, scrappy tracking to a scalable, systems-driven approach.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can maintain a rigorous source of truth for all production and NPI costs while acting as a strategic partner to Sourcing, Finance, Logistics, and Manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Data Governance: Maintain 100% data integrity for all Direct Procurement costs, including unit pricing, tooling, Capex, and ED&D/NRE. Ensure the ERP and offline tracking tools reflect real-time pricing.
- BOM Cost PMO: Orchestrate the monthly Bill of Materials (BOM) cost update process. Review and validate all approved changes, identify pending approvals, and flag key financial risks to ensure accurate forecasting for the S&OP process.
- BOM Structure & Cost Integrity: Demonstrate strong understanding of complex multi-level BOM structures to accurately roll up product costs. Analyze parent-child relationships, directed-buy components, and consigned materials to ensure correct cost attribution.
- Systems Transformation: Define requirements and lead the selection/implementation of advanced cost-management tools and systems to replace existing manual processes.
- Variance Analysis & Inquiries: Act as the first point of contact for Budget Owners, Manufacturing, and Logistics regarding cost variances. Resolve discrepancies independently to allow Sourcing Managers to remain focused on supplier strategy.
- PIR Management: Audit and maintain Purchasing Info Records (PIRs) within the ERP system to ensure seamless procure-to-pay cycles and accurate financial reporting.
- Cross-Functional Reporting: Develop dashboards and reports that provide visibility into cost performance against targets for both NPI and mass production.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in supply chain cost management, procurement operations, or financial planning and analysis (FP&A) within a hardware or manufacturing environment.
- Systems Expertise: Proven experience defining requirements for and implementing supply chain or financial software tools.
- Data Mastery: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (Pivot tables, Index/Match, Query) and experience interpreting complex datasets to find root causes of cost variances.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Plex).
- Experience in automotive or high-tech hardware sectors with complex BOM structures.
- Familiarity with NPI (New Product Introduction) cycles and the transition from development to production pricing.
