Summary

Position Title: Accessibility Analyst (WCAG)
Location: Raleigh, NC
Position Type: Onsite (Long-Term Contract)
Interview Process: Video or In-Person

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform accessibility testing on websites, web applications, and digital documents (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with ADA, Section 508, and WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level AA standards.
  • Utilize both manual and automated testing tools, including assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, and ZoomText.
  • Document accessibility issues and provide clear, actionable remediation recommendations.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to resolve accessibility defects.
  • Support or perform code-level remediation (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript) as needed.
  • Remediate and convert digital documents into accessible formats using tools like Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Advocate for accessibility best practices and help integrate accessibility into the SDLC lifecycle.
  • Maintain compliance documentation, audit reports, and testing artifacts.
  • Stay up to date with evolving accessibility standards, laws, and technologies.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in digital accessibility testing and remediation.
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 and Section 508 compliance standards.
  • Hands-on experience with assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, or ZoomText.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for accessibility fixes.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification such as CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies) or WAS (Web Accessibility Specialist).
  • Experience working in public sector or regulated environments.
  • Experience remediating PDFs using Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with accessibility tools such as Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, or Accessibility Insights.
