What You Will DoYou will lead an Electrical Engineering Design team within the NOLA Project Office, overseeing planning, design, and execution of a portfolio of capital projects. This role is responsible for delivering all Electrical engineering outputs on scope, on schedule, and within budget.
You will ensure consistent application of engineering codes, standards, and best practices across all projects while developing fit-for-purpose solutions for a wide range of initiatives-from small operational improvements to large capital programs. You'll drive a culture of continuous improvement, maintain effective team structure and resource allocation, and oversee engineering processes, systems, software, and quality audits.
Additional responsibilities include guiding project deliverables, budgets, and schedules; coordinating with other engineering disciplines; and partnering with Procurement, Construction, and Operations to maintain execution alignment. You will also support risk assessments, design reviews, and safety-related initiatives.
What You Bring- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and 10+ years of engineering experience; or Master's degree and 8+ years of experience
- Experience managing design engineering teams supporting large-scale projects
Preferred Qualifications- Strong technical knowledge of engineering systems, design methods, current technologies, and materials
- Understanding of industry and regulatory standards
- Advanced ability to plan, coordinate, and organize
- Comprehensive project planning and controls knowledge, including multi-discipline interdependencies
- Experience with drawing production, document control, progress measurement, and engineering control strategies
- Strong administrative, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
- Understanding of engineering interactions with procurement, contracting, construction, and commissioning
- Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and mentor others
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities involving complex technical detail
