Test Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce had a client in need of a Test Engineer in Tampa, FL.

Responsibilities:
* Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases based on user stories
* Build and maintain automated test scripts with full requirements traceability
* Review test cases and automation approach with collaborators to ensure coverage
* Track test execution, defects, risks, and milestones through closure
* Create end-to-end business scenarios aligned to business goals
* Support delivery pipeline adoption and reusable test framework development
* Identify environment and data dependencies for testing
* Build foundational understanding of the product and delivery process
* Ensure process compliance, documentation, and risk/control alignment

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
* 3+ years of QA experience, including 2+ years of hands-on test automation
* Strong experience with Java, Selenium, TestNG, and JUnit
* Hands-on use of Git and Bitbucket
* Knowledge of automation best practices, including XPath, CSS selectors, and Page Object Model
* Experience with Agile/Scrum, defect management, and tracking using JIRA and ALM
* Proficient in functional, regression, smoke, sanity, system, and UAT testing
* Experience with API automation using REST Assured
* Familiarity with Maven build tools and dependency management (pom.xml)
* Ability to write basic to intermediate SQL queries
* Strong ability to interpret technical designs and implement automated test solutions
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
