Summary

Location: Coal Valley, IL Salary: $24.00 USD Hourly - $27.00 USD Hourly Description: Our client is currently seeking a Test Technician

Location: Coal Valley, IL

Duration: 24 months with possible extension

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and configure test setups, including fixtures, instrumentation, component modifications, and overall test arrangements.
  • Perform testing using both computer-controlled equipment and manually operated mechanical systems.
  • Gather, monitor, and document test data utilizing digital and analog measurement devices.
  • Work closely with engineers and technical staff to provide updates on test status, communicate issues, and review results.
  • Complete post-test activities, including equipment teardown, cleaning, inspection, and restoration of test areas.
  • Ensure testing activities are conducted safely and in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using power tools, machine shop equipment, and metalworking tools.
  • Ability to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and leadership.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
  • Working knowledge of refrigeration systems and related components.
  • Fundamental understanding of heat transfer principles.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and PLC programming.
  • Previous experience in a laboratory, testing, manufacturing, or product development environment.
