Senior Cloud Network Architect (Google Cloud Platform & Azure) — Hybrid

Location: Lowell, MA (Hybrid — Mon–Wed in office)

Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST (1-hour lunch)

Hours: 40 hours/week (No OT or weekend work)

Duration: 12-month contract with possibility of extension or conversion

Role Overview

Seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Network Engineer to design, build, and support scalable, secure hybrid and multi-cloud networking solutions across Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and Microsoft Azure. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on complex connectivity, performance, and security across cloud and on-prem environments.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and operate end-to-end cloud networking solutions across Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and on-prem environments
Design and implement cloud-native networking and security services (load balancing, DNS, VPNs, private connectivity, etc.)
Build secure hybrid architectures connecting data centers with multi-cloud platforms
Deploy and manage Palo Alto firewalls (physical, virtual, and cloud-native)
Automate network deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
Lead technical initiatives from architecture through production rollout
Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis
Establish performance, security, and availability standards
Collaborate with security, platform, SRE, and application teams
Maintain technical documentation, designs, and disaster recovery plans

Required Qualifications

15+ years of enterprise networking experience
Strong expertise in hybrid and multi-cloud networking (Google Cloud Platform & Azure)
Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
Extensive experience with Palo Alto firewalls
Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible
Deep troubleshooting skills including packet analysis
Experience with network monitoring and observability tools

Preferred / Forward-Looking Skills

Automation-first networking approaches
Exposure to AI-assisted operational tools

Certifications

Required:

Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate
Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer

Preferred:

Google Professional Cloud Architect
Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
