Software Development Engineers

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Tampa, FL that is in need of Software Development Engineers.

Responsibilities:
* Apply software development and testing methodologies, tools, and technologies
* Design, build, and maintain automated tests across the lifecycle
* Support and enhance test automation frameworks
* Ensure traceability from user stories to test cases and scripts
* Define and communicate environment, data, and dependency needs
* Serve as an SME for assigned applications
* Evaluate solutions aligned with technology standards
* Incorporate risk controls; monitor, mitigate, and escalate as needed
* Partner with teams to design secure, compliant automated tests
* Develop applications and unit tests to meet functional requirements
* Support CI/CD integration and continuous testing practices
* Collaborate to improve software quality and resolve issues

REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience with test automation frameworks
* Strong automated testing experience
* Hands-on API testing using Rest Assured or Karate
* Proficiency in Java, Python, or similar languages
* Knowledge of databases and SQL, including query optimization
* Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
* Experience working in cross-functional or distributed teams
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
* Proactive in learning and staying current with new technologies

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
